• Ensure compliance with national and international radiation protection regulations and guidelines.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and standards related to radiation safety in the mining industry.
• Conduct regular radiation surveys and assessments to monitor exposure levels in the workplace and surrounding environment.
• Analyze and interpret radiation data to identify trends and potential hazards.
• Provide guidance to employees on radiation safety practices, emergency procedures, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Promote a culture of safety and awareness regarding radiation hazards among staff.
• Prepare reports for management and regulatory agencies as required.
• Work closely with other departments, including health and safety, environmental management, and operations, to ensure a cohesive approach to radiation safety.
• Archiving of radiation protection documents.
• Bachelor’s degree in health physics, radiation protection, environmental science, or a related field.
• Certification in radiation protection is preferred.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in radiation safety area.
• Knowledge of radiation safety principles, monitoring equipment, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote mining environment.
• Knowledge of Mongolian and English languages
