DATA SPECIALIST
Job description
- Support users in drilling data workflows and provide solutions specific to data use cases
- Manage geological datasets and databases in accordance with internal policies and standards
- Ensure data consistency, accuracy, and accessibility across relevant systems
- Coordinate data exchange with project stakeholders, including geologists, GIS specialists, geophysicists, and IT teams
- Contribute to the development, documentation, and improvement of data tools and workflows
- Support user training and provide technical assistance when needed
- Conduct data QA/QC and ensure traceability of datasets
- Collaborate with corporate data experts to maintain alignment with technical requirements
Job requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Management, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in database or data management roles
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, and data visualization tools (Power BI, Matplotlib)
- Experience with relational and non-relational database systems
- Familiarity with QA/QC and version control tools (e.g., Git)
- Experience in mining or exploration is an advantage
- Team work and good communication skills
- Proficiency in English is required
