Mongolia (NCD project) Position title: Health Officer Wage scale: 5A Location/Dept: Full-time staff, Based at ADRA-Mongolia Office with regular project visits Reports to: Project Manager Main duties Provide technical support to develop, implement, monitor and assess school and community-based approaches and strategies on behavioral change for the adoption of healthy, beneficial and positive health practices among adolescents.   Forge partnerships and networking to enhance multi-disciplinary and multi-sectoral collaboration to address the risk factors of NCDs among adolescents, to promote and protect health through public health policies, programs and services. Support data collection, research and information dissemination and use for policy and program development, advocacy and awareness-raising on NCDs and their risk factors. Conduct Assessments and Surveys: Conduct regular assessments and surveys to identify prevalent risk factors for NCDs among adolescents. Use the findings to inform the development and improvement of targeted interventions. Provide Education and Training: Deliver health education sessions and workshops to adolescents, parents, teachers, and community members to raise awareness about NCD risk factors and promote healthy lifestyle choices. Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with local schools, healthcare facilities, NGOs, and government agencies to build partnerships and ensure coordinated efforts in implementing NCD risk reduction initiatives for adolescents. Promote Behavioral Change: Develop and utilize behavior change communication strategies to encourage adolescents to adopt healthier lifestyles and make positive choices regarding their health.
