The Superintendent - Underground will drive our underground daily operations. Working on a 14/14-day roster, the role will manage a sizable local Mongolian operational team of approximately 55-60 Orica employees, and all on-site blast related operations to meet both Orica standards and to surpass our client expectations. This role is offered on a permanent basis and will report directly into Orica's Manager - Senior Site Manager (Expat). What you will be doing Driving a safe focused work culture where people are encouraged to speak up about risks; Key point of contact for customer relationships (customer Supervisors, Superintendents and Managers; Complete mandatory monthly inventory counts and reconciliations, safety meetings, audits, and ensure all actions assigned to the Site within area of control are completed required databases. Audit and inspect site operations to ensure regulatory requirements are met and are performed safely in accordance company policies. Ensure mandatory training of all employees is completed and documented. Oversight of employee training plans. Ensure that good housekeeping, record keeping, and preventative maintenance programs are in place. Schedule daily activities of employees to meet customer requirements and ensure proper management of site including raw material ordering, and preventative maintenance. Communicate and develop/implement action plan to address any operational issues with Senior site Manager or Territory manager. Managing a team, driving training plans and developing staff in Orica’s operational procedures and standards;   What you will bring As a key part of this start up team, you will be able to show us that you are full of determination, passion, energy and drive. This includes a strong emphasis on product stewardship, project management, training, blast design review and delivery of measurable value to customers and sustainable revenue to Orica. This role may also be required to support and manage blasting and assist with other project work as required.
